About Second Saturdays

Experience the energy and creativity of Arts, Culture, Food & Fun in Downtown Burlington City at Second Saturdays. Your monthly invitation to explore, connect, and celebrate in the heart of Burlington, New Jersey!

On the second Saturday of each month, the city comes alive with live music, local artists, and a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Stroll through downtown, discover unique shops, enjoy delicious dining, and take in the art, culture, and community spirit.

Planning a night out with friends? Family outing? Or simply looking to discover something new? Second Saturdays offer something for everyone and anyone! Join us and see what makes Burlington City a destination worth celebrating.

September 12th, 2026

Second Saturdays Art Classes at The Dime
Free Art Classes
The Dime @ 351 High Street, Burlington, NJ
Time: TBD

Classes include: Introduction to Print Making, Watercolor for Beginners, Bookbinding, and Mosaics. Pre-registration is required. These workshops have limited spots and are designed for participants age 16 and older.

Second Saturdays Art Supports Autism
Group Creative Art or Piano Lessons
400 High Street – Suite B, Burlington, NJ
Time: 10 AM – 11:30 AM & 12:30 PM – 2 PM

Series of inclusive, sensory-considerate arts workshops designed especially for students in grades 2 through 4, with a focus on supporting children on the autism spectrum. These engaging sessions provide a welcoming space where young learners can explore creativity, build confidence, and connect with others through hands-on artistic expression. The workshops are thoughtfully structured to support social-emotional development while helping students strengthen fine motor, communication, and collaboration skills. Through guided creative activities, participants are encouraged to express themselves in ways that feel comfortable and meaningful to them, fostering both personal growth and positive peer interaction.

Each session takes place in a small group setting to ensure individualized attention and a supportive environment. Predictable routines, visual supports, and flexible participation options help create a space where every student can engage at their own pace and in the way that works best for them.

Second Saturdays Art Supports Recovery for Women
Supporting Recovery Through Art

Time: 6 PM – 8 PM

Second Saturday’s fun starts on Fridays with Art Supports Recovery for Women, a creative arts workshop designed specifically for women. Centered on the idea of healing through creativity, the program provides a safe and supportive space where participants can explore artistic expression, reflect, and connect.

Led by trained arts professionals, the workshops focus on supporting emotional wellness, reducing isolation, and building community through shared creative experiences. Activities may include mixed media journaling, expressive painting, visual storytelling, and mindfulness-based art sessions, all designed to encourage self-expression and resilience. This program recognizes that women deserve creative wellness spaces where their service is honored and their voices can be expressed through art.

Mobile ArtCart
Bringing Art to You – Location TBA!

Get ready to experience art like never before! Burlington’s Mobile ArtCart will be bringing creativity directly into the heart of the community. Designed to engage children, youth, and families, this traveling arts project transforms everyday spaces into inspiring hubs of expression. From local businesses to schools and neighborhood streets, it showcases the work of talented local artists while inviting the community to connect, create, and explore. More than just a gallery, the Mobile ArtCart is traveling symbol of accessibility, resilience, and imagination.

New Jersey Soul Line Dance Festival

Burlington City Waterfront Promenade
Time: 11 AM – 6 PM

Presented by In FACT, Inc. The New Jersey Soul Line Dance Festival, is a vibrant celebration of music, movement, culture, and community along the scenic Burlington City Waterfront. More than just a day of dancing, this exciting event brings people of all ages and experience levels together to celebrate the rich tradition of soul line dancing in one of South Jersey’s most beautiful historic settings.

Dance the day away to music from DJs Double W and Frescho, and enjoy live performances by UGO, Mary Cross, Grace Little, and Showtyme. Whether you’re learning your first steps, showing off your favorite line dances, or simply soaking in the festive atmosphere, you’ll find plenty of reasons to join the fun. Come make new friends, celebrate community, and create unforgettable memories as we dance together on the waterfront.

Browse our lively marketplace featuring local artisans, vendors, and small businesses, enjoy delicious eats from food trucks and Burlington City’s local restaurants, and discover unique shops throughout the waterfront district. Be sure to take on the America 250 Challenge! The first 25 participants to reach 25,000 steps by the end of the festival will win a special gift basket, and a limited number of free gift cards to local businesses will be available while supplies last. South Jersey 250 Folk Art & Living Traditions
Experience Living Traditions on the Burlington City Waterfront
Burlington City Waterfront Promenade

Celebrate the rich cultural traditions that make South Jersey unique at the South Jersey Folk Arts Festival, part of Burlington City’s vibrant Second Saturdays series. This free, family-friendly festival brings together artists, musicians, storytellers, craftspeople, and community organizations for a day filled with creativity, culture, and connection along the scenic Burlington City Waterfront.

Discover the living traditions that have been passed down through generations through live folk music, dance performances, storytelling, hands-on demonstrations, and interactive experiences. Meet talented artisans showcasing traditional crafts, browse unique handmade goods from local vendors, and enjoy delicious food from a variety of food vendors while taking in the beautiful waterfront atmosphere. Admission is free. (Please note: “Tale of Two Tastes” is a separately ticketed experience.)

Material Approvals Process / Crediting Statement

All partner and venue print materials need to be approved by the NJEDA. There is a 2-week turn around time.
All materials should include the following crediting statement “Second Saturdays, Burlington City NJ is presented by Arts Guild New Jersey / Burlington City Arts Collaborative and supported by funding through the NJEDA’s A.R.T. – Phase II Grant Program”.

For review and approval of your own marketing materials, please copy your final PDFs to the AGNJ materials review DropBox at this link then email artsguildnewjersey@gmail.com to let them know what is ready to review. They will manage that approval process and get back to you.
